2020 Denver International Wine Competition Changes Its Course!

2020 Denver International Wine Competition Changes Its Course!

Our parent company, Wine Country Network, has committed to proceed with the 16th Annual Denver International Wine Competition in June. Since the judging is conducting privately, we feel that we can take adequate safety precautions to protect our judges and staff.

Wine sales are currently healthy, and our wine competition helps wine brands validate their quality and boost their marketing efforts. Gold medals and high ratings help sales! Still, many winery tasting rooms are closed to tastings. The majority are focusing on pickup and online orders. We are sensitive to the fact that Vintners and their employees are affected.

Our company has decided to offer wine producers a 25% incentive on entry fees.

Entrants may take advantage of this incentive by using code: SAFE20

Winery Incentive Details:
Regular Entry Fee: $80
Save 25% with code: SAFE20
Pay only $60 per entry

Local Restaurant Worker Support:
Wine Country Network also announced today that it would also donate $10 for every entry received this year to the Colorado Restaurant Response. The recently established Colorado Restaurant Response is serving 500 meals per day out of 4 restaurants. A total of 400 of the 2000 meals go directly to feed local restaurant industry workers.

The 16th Annual Denver International Wine Competition (DIWC) will be held on June 13-14, 2020, at The Omni Interlocken Resort, Broomfield, Colorado.

This competition is the largest double-blind, professionally judged wine competition in the Rocky Mountain region. Judges consist of some of Colorado’s most respect wine experts, wine buyers, and certified sommeliers. The judging is held privately in meeting rooms. This year’s competition will be modified to follow the CDC safety guidelines.

The DIWC has been the only Internationally focused wine competition that conducts a special post-competition event showcasing its Gold medal wines. That exclusive wine & culinary pairing event is called Pairsine, Chefs Fine Food & Wine Pairing Competition.

The impact of COVID-19 has affected everyone in some way. The pain caused to restaurateurs and their workers are most devastating. We are pleased to support our local restaurant industry friends at this crucial time.
